Quantum Neurology® Rehabilitation is a technique used by physical therapists, not to be confused with neurologists or neuro-scientists. It is one of the primary modalities used in this practice. It is a system of stimulation and rehabilitation of the nervous system using stimulation of the sensory part of the nervous system using low force techniques.
Muscle Strengthening.
The aim is to improve obvious or hidden weaknesses of muscle groups using percussive or vibration instruments on reflexive points on the muscles or other parts of the body with the aim of increasing muscular response.
Biomechanical – Movement and Alignment.
Using primarily the Arthrostim (mechanical impulse instrument) or a vibration massager, we may be able to improve movement and alignment to the restricted joints of the body. That is the spinal range of motion of any joint in the body including the shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees, ankles and feet.
Cranial Nerve Rehabilitation.
The aim is to stimulate cranial nerve function and may be improved with rehabilitation exercise processes.
Muscle Lengthening
Muscle lengthening is a method of changing the tension of a muscle. We can use this work on any muscle in the body.
Each muscle has a length that is pre-set by the nervous system and it will remain the same until the area is injured causing a protective shortening or tightening. Each movement has to be coordinated to provide stability and strength between opposing muscle groups throughout the full range of motion. Our goal is to maximize your range of motion.

THE ARTHROSTIM®
This is a low force percussion instrument that stimulates the nervous system where it is acting with an aim to make muscles relax and lengthen as well as stimulate their response.
THE GRT™ LIGHT
The GRT light is a Red/Infrared LED (Light Emitting Diode) therapy device. Research has shown red and infra-red light stimulate metabolic function of cells. It was designed specifically for neurological rehabilitation and assists many of the Quantum Neurology™ corrections. There is no heat generated by the device as it is a class 1 infra-red light and it is a completely pain free application.
