How old do you experience
This is a big question
because I actually feel much younger than my birth certificate says and I love
that … Mark, my partner, just did a metabolic age test and he is actually 5
years younger than his birth certificate says.
One of my spiritual teachers
talks about aging being a process that goes on in nature and we are a part of
it. The fact that we don’t see aging as beautiful is a problem we should work
with instead of recreating the world to make believe it does not exist. He says we see aging as a pathology, like a
disease state … It’s like I’m saying;
Hi, I am Linda and I am old, which is a negative statement about yourself. And that’s not good.
In saying that, I do believe
in making the most of what we have and giving our bodies the best chance to be
as healthy as possible.
And, because we are all different,
we all have a different health history and we will all have a specific desire
on what we what to be still able to do or achieve in our lives.
Keeping active in the
community, getting your injuries attended to before they become chronic and
stop you doing the things you love, eating to nourish, keeping the inflammation
down is vital.
We also talk about telomeres
(the caps of DNA at the ends of chromosomes that protect your cells from aging)
… and ways to stop them getting so short they are no longer able to protect the
cell. Short ones are linked to chronic and degenerative diseases like cancer,
Alzheimers and sadly early death …
So book in to the workshop If
you would love to learn some health hacks to feel the best at whatever age you
